Erika von Stone is an adorable 5 month old German Shepherd puppy. Judging from the fur around the ears, Erika will have a longer coat. She just lost her puppy coat and the adult coat is growing in. For such a little girl she already has quite a story to tell. Her family lost their home to foreclosure, the neighbor's take was that the gates were just left open and Erika and her sister were left on their own. They were found wandering down a very busy street in the Valley. A Good Samaritan stopped and caught them; he was on his way to a meeting, so he called one of our volunteers to come get the puppies. Someone who lived close by offered to keep the pups until she got there. By the time the volunteer got there the person would only give us one of the girls, he wanted to keep the bigger girl Erika.  We felt terrible when Gabrielle the sister got an amazing home and Erika was sitting in a backyard by herself lonely and sad. Our volunteer did something we have never done, we paid the guy $250 to let us have Erika and place her in a wonderful home like her sister.  She is a mellow girl, loves all dogs and people. Erika loves to eat, so you don’t have to worry about a picky eater. She is an absolute delight. We are asking a donation of $500
to pay back the volunteer and cover her spay, first set of shots and micro-chipping.
